Matthew Sargent is an award-winning film, TV, and media composer. He was raised in Greenville, South Carolina, and completed a Bachelor of Music degree in film scoring at Berklee College of Music in Boston.
In Los Angeles he enjoyed a successful career composing music for various TV shows including TMZ, Teen Titans Go!, Homicide Hunter, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and more. Returning to South Carolina, he is also active in community organizations that support music education programs and the performing arts. His musical style ranges from symphonic orchestral to electronic. He also recently composed the music to a sci-fi film (Lumina), which was released nationwide in September, 2024. Whether crafting bold cinematic themes or subtle emotional textures, Matthew’s music is designed to move, inspire, and enhance storytelling.
