Matthew E. Sargent

Matthew Sargent is an award-winning composer for film, television, and media. A native of Greenville, South Carolina, he earned his Bachelor of Music degree in Film Scoring from Berklee College of Music in Boston.

He later established a successful career in Los Angeles, composing for a diverse array of television programs such as TMZ, Teen Titans Go!, Homicide Hunter, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and more. Now residing in South Carolina, Matthew remains an active composer and is passionately engaged with community organizations that champion music education, the performing arts, and concert music. He also performs weekly as a pianist at the Grand Bohemian Lodge in Greenville, South Carolina.

Renowned for his versatility, his musical style ranges from sweeping orchestral scores to innovative electronic soundscapes. Whether crafting bold cinematic themes or subtle emotional textures, Matthew’s music is designed to move, inspire, and elevate the art of storytelling.
